About the Treatment

Sports injuries require a specialized approach to allow athletes to safely return to their sport at peak performance. Our sports therapy clinic focuses on restoring strength, correcting movement biomechanics, and rebuilding confidence to prevent future re-injury.

How it works

Our sports therapy integrates manual tissue mobilization, dry needling, and sports massage to manage acute inflammation and pain. We then transition into progressive conditioning, strength, and sport-specific training to ensure the injured tissue is fully adapted to athletic demands.

Frequently Asked Questions

We regularly evaluate and treat a wide variety of athletic injuries, including ACL and meniscus tears, ankle sprains, rotator cuff tendinitis, hamstring strains, runner's knee, tennis/golfer's elbow, and shin splints. We support recreational, amateur, and competitive athletes.
We utilize rigorous, objective return-to-play criteria. This involves functional tests checking balance, agility, joint stability, and dynamic strength (ensuring at least 90% strength symmetry compared to the uninjured side). The athlete must also complete sport-specific drills completely pain-free before clearance is given.
During the first 48 to 72 hours after an acute injury (the acute inflammatory phase), it is recommended to apply ice (for 15-20 minutes at a time) combined with compression and elevation. Ice helps minimize blood vessel dilation and control swelling. Heat should be avoided in this early phase as it can worsen inflammation.
